A. CHASSIS:

a) Weight - 3200 lbs - post race w/driver.

b) Stock production perimeter U.S. passenger car frames may be shortened to obtain desired wheel base. No off set, ladder, X, S.U.V., truck or sports car frames.

c) A minimum ride height of 5" must be maintained from frame to ground with the driver in the seat.

B. BODIES:
a) All bodies must be stock appearing. Aftermarket template bodies are allowed. Hoods, roofs, nose, back panels, front and rear bumper, and rear deck lids must be strictly stock appearing to the make and model of the car. Aftermarket steel, aluminum, or plastic replacement panels are permitted. If air cleaner protrudes through hood, it must be completely covered by a hood scoop. An opening is allowed at the rear of the scoop. No downforce bodies, no dirt nose pieces. May have spoiler no more than 6" in height and no wider than rear quarters. No side wings. Spoiler must be clear with no lettering or decals.

b) Bumpers must be stock appearing type and fit contours of fenders and quarter panels. They may not stick out any farther from frame ends than necessary. Ends of bumpers must be rounded and covered. NO SHARP EDGES.

c) A stock appearing firewall must be totally sealed from engine compartment. Trunk floors may be removed. A rear firewall must be totally sealed from trunk area. All firewalls and patches must be made from a minimum of 20 gauge thickness steel. Sheet steel after market interiors allowed but must meet with Tech approval.

d) Front and rear external tow hooks mandatory.

e) Batteries must be either in trunk or under hood (not in driver's compartment) and 100% secured.

f) Rear panel must be closed and sealed from deck lid to top of bumper and side to side.

g) Engine, transmission and body must be of the same corporate line.

C. ENGINES:
a) Engines must be mounted centerline of frame rails and furthest forward spark plug with centerline or in front of upper ball joint.

b) Strictly stock or stock replacement heads only. VORTEC, SR TORQUER, WORLD PRODUCTS SR, IRON EAGLE 180 and Chevy angled plug only. NO TURBO, BOWTIE, WORLD SPORTSMAN 2, DART 2, AFTERMARKET, HIGH PERFORMANCE, OR ALUMINUM HEADS ALLOWED.

c) Stock hydraulic or solid lifters. Roller rockers allowed. No gear drive.

d) Any single 2 or 4 barrel carburetor.

e) Stock distributor type ignitions only. No magnetos. 12V systems only.

D. WEIGHT:
a) See chassis.

b) 55% maximum left side before and after race. Rear weight must be less than 50% of the total weight.

c) All weights must be permanently secured with a minimum of two 1/2" bolts and painted white with car numbers on it. May not be mounted below frame rail.

E. TRANSMISSIONS:
a) Automatic or not made for racing standard shift transmission okay. No internal clutch racing transmissions. Stock OEM only.

b) Standard transmissions are required to use a scatter shield, with a 1" inspection hole in the bottom.

c) Transmission cooler mandatory and must not be mounted in driver's compartment (automatics).

d) Transmission couplers are allowed (automatics only).

e) Must have oil overflow can secured outside driver's compartment. Must be connected to transmission vent and have locking dip stick (truck type).

f) Racing clutches okay. 5" diameter minimum.

F. DRIVESHAFTS:
a) All driveshafts must have safety hoops in front and rear. No aluminum driveshafts.

b) All driveshafts are required to be white.

G. DIFFERENTIALS:
a) Must be stock for manufacturer of car. For safety purposes Ford 9" will be allowed. Locked rear ends allowed. Must be steel.

H. BRAKES:
a) Must have four wheel operating brakes at all times.

I. FUEL:
a) Fuel cells mandatory with a minimum of 8" clearance. Cap must tethered to fuel cell. Crash protection bar from frame rail to frame rail mandatory.

b) No electric fuel pumps. Fuel lines may not run through driver's compartment.

c) Gasoline only. No additives or nitrous oxide.

J. STARTERS:
a) All cars must have working starters at all times.

K. ROLLCAGE:
The roll cage must be of four post design with four driver's side door bars and three right side door bars. .095 gauge tubing is required.

A 1/8" steel plate is mandatory on the driver's side door bars from front upright to rear upright and from top door bar to frame rail.

Bars must be padded around driver.

L. TIRES AND WHEELS:
a) Maximum of 8" wide wheels allowed with a 1" lug nut required on all wheels. Wheel studs must be at least flush with the front side of the lug nuts.

b) Spec. tire is McCreary American Racer D265/60 with or without MMA stamp.

c) All tires must not extend beyond body.

M. SUSPENSION:
a) All steering components must be completely stock. Stock lower A-frames, aftermarket upper A-frames okay. Racing springs allowed, with a minimum diameter of 4.5". Screw jacks or load bolts are optional.

b) 3 or 4 Link okay.

N. RADIATORS:
a) No antifreeze allowed. All cars must have a minimum 1 gallon catch can.

O. EXHAUST:
a) Stock cast iron exhaust manifold or headers.

b) Mufflers mandatory.

P. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
a) Aluminum racing seat and racing safety harness mandatory. Safety harness must be securely attached to roll cage and shoulder belts must attach or lap over roll cage no less than 1" below factory cut outs provided for belt installation. The belts must also contain the original certified date tag and must be less than 3 years old.

b) Window nets with top latches required.

c) All interior must be 100% sealed from engine and trunk compartments.

d) All glass except for windshield must be removed. Windshield may be replaced by Lexan (No Plexiglas).

e) An on board fire suppression system is recommended. A minimum of 2 1/2 pound fire extinguisher mounted for easy access to driver is mandatory.

f) Master shut off switch to main battery cable must be placed near driver for easy access by driver and safety crew is mandatory.

g) All other required safety equipment and specifications are addressed in section 4 of this rule book.

h) Fuel cell with steel container.

i) Battery Kill switch must be mounted at "A" pillar.
