a) All drivers must register prior to competing. Any driver who is not registered will not be allowed to compete until the registration form is complete and the proper registration fee is paid in full. No prize money will be issued to any unregistered car and or driver.
b) All driver registrations are subject to approval or rejection. A registration can be used only by the member to whom it is issued and any member who allows any person to use or attempt to use his/her registration in any manner shall be subject to disciplinary action.
c) A one time "temporary" permit may be issued at 1/2 of the annual registration fee.
d) Drivers that compete in more than one division must be registered in each division to receive prize money.
a) All drivers must be of minimum age as directed and approved by our insurance provider. This policy may change without notice.
b) The minimum age requirements for each class are:
Pony Stock: 13
Pure Stock: 13
Sportsman: 16
Modified: 16
Super Late: 16
Figure 8: 18
c) Any person under 18 must have current minor release forms on file for each year. For more information and/or to obtain a minor release form, call the speedway office at: (517) 244-1042
d) Any driver may be required at any time to submit to a physical examination whenever requested by Spartan/SMS officials.
Spartan - concrete slabs with asphalt around them may be reserved for 175.00 for the season. If they are in the gravel area the cost is 125.00 per season.
Slabs will be assigned on or about April 1st according to the date payment is received. No slab locations are guaranteed from one season to the next season.
Slab money is not refundable and slabs may not be subleased. Once a slab is assigned it becomes the driver’s responsibility to paint a 1 foot x 1 foot square on the front (entrance) of the slab with the car number and division designation (Ex: (1 SLM) (1 MOD) (1 SM) (1 PURE) (1 PS) ). The slab is not considered reserved until the square and number are complete. Any other available slab with asphalt around them may be leased by the night for 10.00 and with gravel around them 5.00 per night. Reserved slabs may be reassigned on Sunday Shows.
