Driving Directions

Some people think Springport Motor Speedway is out in the middle of nowhere. The truth is it's really out in the middle of "everywhere".

The speedway is located at 23849 30 Mile Road in Springport, Michigan. 30 Mile Road is also known as Royston Road.

The town of Springport is located on a well-maintained Michigan highway known as M-99. M-99 begins in the City of Lansing and runs south through the Michigan towns of Eaton Rapids, Springport, Albion, Homer, Litchfield, Jonesville, and Hillsdale. It finally ends when it hits the state line just north of Pioneer, Ohio where it becomes SR15 in Ohio.

M-99 crosses several major roads and highways, the most prominent being I-94 which is only 8 miles south of Springport.

No matter where you are coming from, you can easily find Springport Motor Speedway:

From Lansing
From Albion and I-94 at Exit 124
From the town of Springport
From Michigan International Speedway
From Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Marshall
From Ann Arbor, Jackson
From Eaton Rapids
From Charlotte
From Potterville
From I-69 near Bellevue and Olivet
If any of the directions take you south into the track on the gravel part of Royston Road, there is an alternate way so you can stay on paved roads all the way to the track.
Avoid the gravel part of Royston

From Lansing

If you're coming from Lansing, or from anywhere else that will take you through Lansing, you have two choices to get to the track.

Go south on I-69 and get off at exit 66 in Potterville and go south on Hartel Road. Continue reading the directions from Potterville.

From Albion and I-94 at Exit 124

From the city of Albion, most people know how to find M-99 since it runs right through Albion. Simply continue to follow the directions here for those who are travelling on I-94.

If you're travelling on I-94, getting to Springport Motor Speedway is a piece of cake.
Just get off at exit 124 and go north on M-99. This is also known as Eaton Rapids Road.
Go north 8.0 miles until you come into the town of Springport. You are only a little over 3 miles from the track now.

At this point, continue reading the next section to go the rest of the way to the track.


From the town of Springport

From the intersection at the center of town, go north on Mechanic Street.
Once you leave the city limits, the road will be known as Holibaugh Road.

Go 2.0 miles to Peters Road and turn left.
Go 1.1 miles to 30 Mile Road and turn right. This is also known as Royston Road.
You are now going north on Royston Road.
Go a half mile and the track will be on your left.
The first entrance you come to will be the spectator entrance.
The second entrance will be the pit entrance.


From Michigan International Speedway

If you're in the area for the NASCAR, ARCA, or Indy Car races and looking for something to do on Saturday evening, for a true race fan, there is nothing better than taking in a local short track show at one of the finest 3/8 mile racing facilities in the midwest.

If you know how to find your way to I-94 near Jackson, finding the track is easy. Just follow the directions for travellers on I-94. Otherwise, keep reading.

From MIS, first you must go north to the I-94 expressway. There are two ways to get to I-94. You can either go west on US-12 to US-127, or you can go north on M-50 to US-127, and then north to I-94. Either way, let's start out at the main entrance of MIS near the front straightaway.

M-50 Route
Pull out of the speedway grounds and turn right to go north on Brooklyn Road.
Go 1.6 miles to M-50. Turn left onto M-50.
Stay on M-50 and go north about 11.8 miles through the town of Brooklyn and then Napoleon, and then you'll see the signs for US-127.
You'll turn right onto E. South Street which will take you onto the ramp for US-127. You'll be going north on US-127.

US-12 Route
Pull out of the speedway grounds and turn left to go south on Brooklyn Road.
Go just about .4 of a mile, depending on where you started at, until you arrive at the intersection of US-12.
Turn right onto US-12 and go west about 5.9 miles to US-127.
Turn right onto US-127 and go north.
In about 9.9 miles, you'll come to where US-127 becomes an expressway. Follow the signs to remain on US-127 north.

Once you are on the expressway portion of US-127 North, it's a short trip of about 6 miles until it ends at the ramp onto I-94.
Take the ramp for I-94 West and go 17.8 miles to Exit 124.

From Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Marshall

If you're travelling from any city around the Battle Creek or Kalamazoo area, simply get on I-94 and go east until you come to exit 124 near the city of Albion.

At this point, read the directions from Exit 124.


From Ann Arbor, Jackson

If you're travelling from any city around the Jackson or Ann Arbor area, simply get on I-94 and go west until you come to exit 124 near the city of Albion.

At this point, read the directions from Exit 124.


From Eaton Rapids

It's an easy drive from Eaton Rapids.

Just go south on M-99 about 4.2 miles to Bellevue Hwy.
Turn right onto Bellevue Hwy and go west about 2.1 miles to Springport Road.
Turn left and go south on Springport Road a total of 3.2 miles. (Note: In about 2.2 miles, Springport Road becomes Holibaugh Road. Keep going another mile after it changes to Holibaugh Road.)
Turn right on Peters Road.
Go 1.1 miles to 30 Mile Road and turn right. This is also known as Royston Road.
You are now going north on Royston Road.
Go a half mile and the track will be on your left.
The first entrance you come to will be the spectator entrance.
The second entrance will be the pit entrance.


From Charlotte

It's a nice pleasant drive from Charlotte to Springport Motor Speedway. There are a couple of ways you can start out from Charlotte. You can either go east on Island Highway to Royston Road or you can take M-50 towards Eaton Rapids and then turn on Royston Road. The M-50 way is a little shorter and quicker.

Island Hwy directions:
From Lansing Road, turn onto Island Hwy and go east about 5.5 miles to Royston Road.
Turn right on Royston Road and go south. You'll travel 10.2 miles and the track will be on your right.

M-50 directions:
From where M-50 meets I-69, go towards Eaton Rapids about 5.6 miles until you come to Royston Road.
Turn right on Royston Road and go about 7.8 miles the rest of the way to the track.

Either way you go, the track will be on your right. The first entrance is the pit entrance and the second entrance will be the spectator entrance.

The last couple of miles on Royston Road is gravel. You'll cross Bellevue Hwy just before Royston Road changes to gravel. You can avoid the gravel by turning left on Bellevue Hwy and follow these directions from this point on.


From Potterville

Getting to Springport Motor Speedway from Potterville is very easy and almost a straight shot south.

From Potterville, go south on M-100 which is also known as Hartel Road.
From where I-69 intersects M-100, you'll go south on M-100 about 3.5 miles until it ends at Island Highway.
Turn left on Island Highway and go 1 mile to Royston Road.
Turn right on Royston Road.
This will now take you all the way to the track. You'll travel 10.2 miles and the track will be on your right.
The first entrance you come to will be the pit entrance. The second entrance will be the spectator entrance.

Note: The last couple of miles on Royston Road will be gravel. When you reach the intersection of Royston Road and Bellevue Highway, you are almost to the gravel section. At this point, you can turn left to go east on Bellevue Highway and avoid the gravel and stay on paved roads.


From I-69 near Bellevue and Olivet

Anyone who lives in the Bellevue and Olivet area should know how to find Bellevue Hwy. Here, we're going to explain how to do it if you're travelling on I-69 near this area.

From I-69 near Bellevue and Olivet, get off at exit 48 and go east on Butterfield Hwy.
You'll go about 1.3 miles to Marshall Road which is also Old US 27. While in Olivet, this road might also be known as Main St. Turn left on Marshall Road and go through the town of Olivet.
When you're just about to the north edge of town, you'll see Bellevue Hwy on your right.
Turn right onto Bellevue Hwy and go east 10.2 miles to Royston Road.
Turn right onto Royston Road and go south 2.4 miles and the track will be on your right.
The first entrance you come to will be the pit entrance. The second entrance will be the spectator entrance.

The last couple of miles on Royston Road will be gravel. If you'd like to avoid the gravel, don't turn on Royston. Instead, stay on Bellevue Hwy. Continue reading the next section to learn how to go the rest of the way on paved roads.


Avoid the gravel part of Royston

If any of the listed directions take you to the intersection of Bellevue Road and Royston Road and then south on the two mile stretch of gravel of Royston Road, there is an alternate route which is all paved roads.

From the intersection of Bellevue Road and Royston Road, go east on Bellevue Road.
Go 1.4 miles to Springport Road and turn right.
Go south on Springport Road a total of 3.2 miles. (Note: In about 2.2 miles, Springport Road becomes Holibaugh Road. Keep going another mile after it changes to Holibaugh Road.)
Turn right on Peters Road.
Go 1.1 miles to 30 Mile Road and turn right. This is also known as Royston Road.
You are now going north on Royston Road.
Go a half mile and the track will be on your left.
