Dick is now retired from the Board of Water & Light, which is the main utility company in Lansing, Michigan where he worked for 33 years. Being retired, he has more time to enjoy working on his race car and racing it on the weekends.

You'll find Dick driving his 1999 Ellis chassied #88 Modified at Spartan, Springport, Kalamazoo, and Galesburg.
"I started racing in 1975 driving go-karts in the IKF series. I took the state championship in 1977 and 1978. I also took division 5 of IKF in 1978. In 1988, I went Modified racing, where I'm currently still racing." |
