Russ "Harry" Potter lives in Mason, Michigan with his wife, Pam. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Russ works for the Livingston County Drain Commission. He drives the #10 Pure Stock which is a 1995 Chrysler Concorde powered by a 3.3 Liter V6. There is always some confusion as to who is actually driving this car whenever it shows up at Spartan Speedway or Springport Motor Speedway. It's always Russ Potter, but it might be Russ III or Russ IV driving the car as his son shares the driving duties. Russ proudly lists his #1 sponsor as "Pam Potter's Overtime Pay!" "I raced for 2 1/2 years in the Pony Stock Division. I drove the first Neon to appear in that series. It was a cooperative test between myself and Spartan Speedway to see if the Neon would be a suitable car to allow in that series." Russ won 2 feature events in the Pony Stock Division in 2005. "In 2006, I started racing a Pure Stock about mid-season. I won the feature my first time out and have been having a blast ever since." |
