Championship article for Springport 2006

Wayne "Daniel" Parkhurst II lives in Holt, Michigan with his parents, Wayne and Shawn, and his sister, Debbie. "Daniel" was born on June 13th, 1991 and is enjoying his first year of racing at both Spartan Speedway and Springport Motor Speedway.

During the week, Daniel has respect for a nice blade of grass as he helps to improve the looks of lawns while working for Spencer's Lawn Care. But on Friday and Saturday nights, Paul Zimmerman's grassy infield is nothing more than an escape path when there's trouble on the track.

Racing his #13 Chevrolet Caprice in the brand new Pure Stock Division for 2006, Daniel became the one to beat for the Season Championship at both Spartan Speedway and Springport Motor Speedway.

 

 
Wayne II (or Daniel as many people call him) crosses his fingers whenever there is a Figure-8 race running at Spartan Speedway. His Dad, Wayne Sr, borrows the car for the left and right turn races. So far, Daniel still has a car to race!
