I am rebuilding a ford 302 engine (out of a 1998 mercury mountaineer). This is not for racing purposes, just a stock rebuild. I am a GM guy, so I'm a little out of my territory here and would be grateful for any information anyone could provide. If you know of a good website, that would be really good. Basically what I'm looking for are the stock engine specs (torque specs, bolt tightening sequence, etc.)
Thanks,
Brian |

Thanks, everyone. That was good (and fast) feedback.
Forgive me for being a little slow, Dennis. I finally put two and two together about you being the owner of Oneil's repair. You are less than a mile from my house. I will stop by sometime if I can't get the info off the web.
Thanks again,
Brian
p.s. Once I get this vehicle repaired it will be for sale. I got it for next to nothing, so I can sell it way below blue book value and still make enough to buy a quart of oil for the race car |
