All-New Camaros and Mustangs from the ASA Sunoco National Tour to Hit Springport in the Inaugural "Michigan 200"
On June 5th, the Sunoco National Tour, formerly known as the ASA Late Model Challenge Series, will be making their only appearance in the state of Michigan at the Springport Motor Speedway. Race fans all over have longed for the days when race cars looked more like the new cars in the showroom. Well, the wait is over as the Sunoco National Tour has introduced new body styles for their series which currently consists of a Ford Mustang and a Chevrolet Camaro. Even though the new bodies are strecthed and tweaked in key areas to be suitable for chassis fit and high speed aerodynamics, they have managed quite nicely to maintain a striking resemblance to the cars you'll find in the dealer showrooms.

The 200 lap event at Springport will be the third stop of the season for the Sunoco National Tour teams. They have completed races at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida and the famed Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina. Following the Michigan 200, the teams will continue their season at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indiana, North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina, Salem Speedway in Indiana, Nashville Superspeedway in Tennessee, The Milwaukee Mile in Wisconsin, and Illiana Motor Speedway in Indiana.

The main grandstand will open an hour earlier than usual on June 5th at 4PM. The ticket booth will open early at 2PM for those who wish to avoid the lines. Adult tickets are $20, Seniors 60 and over are $18, Youths 6-12 are $5, 5 and under are free.

Qualifying will begin at 5PM and racing begins at 7PM. Also on the schedule for June 5th are the Bishop Performance Legends and the Oliver's Collision Pony Stocks.
