Engine Woes plague 18-year-old Chad Finley for the second race in a row. Rockingham up next.
By Brad Keselowski Racing / M.P.H. Promotions

DeWitt, Michigan (Friday, October 1, 2010): The stage was set for 18-year-old Chad Finley at the Kansas Speedway in the running of the Kansas Lottery 150. After losing a motor while running up front in his last ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards race at the Chicagoland Speedway, the DeWitt, Michigan driver was looking for redemption in the Heartland.

Finley and his Brad Keselowski Racing #29 Air Lift Services / Auto Value – Bumper to Bumper Parts Stores and Certified Service Centers machine made the long haul to the 1.5 Mile Semi-Banked Tri-Oval in Kansas City, Kansas and after Practice, things were looking up for the Great Lakes State driver as he was clocked fourth fastest out 38 cars on hand.

After a Transmission change before going out for Qualifying, he positioned himself 12th on the grid for the 150 mile race and would start on the outside of the sixth row. He quickly and methodically worked his way through the field and was up to fourth place when on lap 23, Finley’s motor expired coming out of turn two ending his day. This is the second race in a row that engine problems have prohibited Finley from a solid finish!

“I’m at a loss for words on this one,” A dejected Finley stated. “Once again we had an awesome race car and our expectations were real high. We were just cruising along there going to the front and the motor just let go!” We just can't seem to shake the monkey off our back I guess.” He added.

“We won't give up though. We need to just keep digging and the door will open,” Finley added. "I really have to thank Airlift Company and Auto Value for sticking it out here with us. I feel terrible for them but its part of the sport. We will get there soon, I just know it.” He ended.

Just one race remains on the 2010 ARCA Schedule for Finley and the BKR Team as they'll make the trip down to the 2010 ARCA season finale at Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina on Saturday, October 9th for the American 200 Presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service. Last season, Finley won his first career ARCA Pole Award and led several laps during the event.

In four starts in ARCA so far this season, Finley has recorded One Top Five finish, an impressive Third Place finish in the Messina Wildlife Stopper 200 at the biggest track he's ever raced on; The 2.5 mile triangular paved oval of the Pocono International Raceway in Pocono, Pennsylvania back on June 5th.

His other starts have resulted in an 11th place finish in the Rattlesnake 100 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas on April 16th and a seventh place finish in the Racing for Wildlife 200 at the track on the ARCA Schedule closest to his DeWitt, Michigan home, Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan on June 11th .

His last two races have resulted in two blown motors for the 18-year-old BKR Development Driver as in his Chicagoland appearance, he finished 23rd after running up front for most of the day and then a 30th place showing in Kansas.
