| What makes the deciding factor of what tracks will run .. Like late models. Modifieds. 4 cyl .. Has spartan ever though of running. Mini cup cars? They look just like the nascar sprint cup cars just a lot cheaper .. They cost about 8500 race ready. http://www.minicup.com/intro.htm. You can look here if ya can't picture this in your head. I know they race at auto city. And just was wondering. Could one day see these at spartan |

Spartan was one of the very first tracks in the area to have the Mini Cups. They were strictly an arena racing series until Spartan & Springport Speedways gave them a try about 5-6 years ago. We've had them numerous times at Spartan as a traveling series, not a regular weekly division. As a matter of fact, when the series started traveling more to other tracks, besides the 2 mentioned, my co-announcer, Sean Sprague, became their traveling announcer.
As another footnote, former Springport Speedway promoter, Spartan Speedway tech man, Maurice Randall, won the Great Lakes Mini Cup Series Championship a couple years ago!!!
Most of us Spartan regulars are very familar with the Mini Cups. |

| Thanks for the info. I know they had traveling series but did not know they have been there.. I know there pretty cool to watch. As is any race.. .. But the other part I was wondering. What makes the track owner. Decide what he or they wanna have race there ..is it a poll or what other tracks near by are running on a sat so drivers can race Friday. Or is it what people wanna see ( or hear. ..4 Cyl humm. Or v8 off the headers ) ..just my curiosity |
