if my neon is 2350 with me in it.is that ok or do i need to put more into it.

a) All weights are pre-race with driver in car and race ready.

b) Base 2350 lbs.

c)
# Neon add 100 lbs.
# Manual shift add 50 lbs.
# DOHC 16 valve add 50 lbs.

d) All listed weights may be adjusted from time to time, by Spartan Officials, as deemed necessary.

e) All added weight must be secured with two 1/2 inch bolts. Weight must be painted white with car number on it.

Jerry, also remember to allow for the fuel you will use during the race. Approx 7lbs per gallon. If you start the Feature with a full tank and you weigh 2350, then use 2 gallons of fuel in the Feature you will weigh 2336 lbs when you are weighed. So its best to add a few extra pounds to the car to make up for it. You dont want to be DQ'd for being underweight.

Is there any certain thing you have to use for weight, or can you put anything in as long as its bolted down?

Most racers use lead, but you can use steel..just make sure its bolted down real good.

And make sure that it is painted white with your car number on it.
