Back To Fourth Place In The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Points For Chad Finley
The Fast ¼ Mile of Anderson (IN) Speedway up next
DeWitt, Michigan (Wednesday, July 18th, 2012): Chad Finley and the Chad Finley Racing Team are busy preparing for the next race for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance which is Race #8 on Friday, July 20th at the fast ¼ (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana for the running of the Anderson 100 Presented by JEGS.com.
After taking the weekend of July 13-15th off after a sixth place finish in the last race in DeGraff, Ohio, Finley is looking forward to the second half of the 2012 racing season; “We continue to work hard in the shop every day to build these race cars the best we can. We made some changes during the off week and we’re going testing Saturday after Anderson at Lucas Oil Raceway and see if that will make us any better. We don’t need much, but you have to keep trying things.” The 20-year-old continued.
“Like I tell all the guys; the biggest thing we need is some good luck and that would be a blessing for sure.” He added. Going into the eighth race of the 2012 racing season for JEGS/CRA, Finley stands in fourth place in the season long points chase and knows the chase for the JEGS/CRA title will start heating up beginning in Anderson, Indiana.
As for the ¼ mile located in Central Indiana, Finley is ready to go and thinks the Anderson is a good way to begin his quest to reel in the three teams in front of him in the chase for the 2012 JEGS/CRA Championship. “Anderson is a very unique race track that’s for sure.” He laughed. “Things happen fast and you have to be on your toes every lap. It’s a very demanding track every step of the way. We will just dig down deep and be there at the end.” He ended.
In seven JEGS/CRA events, Finley has collected his One Win, which came at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio back on May 26th to go with Three Top Five finishes and Four Top 10 showings. Finley is now fourth in the season long points chase three markers ahead of fifth place, 18 points out of third place in the standings and just 36 points away from the runner-up spot in the JEGS/CRA title chase.
For the rest of the 2012 racing season both of Finley’s CRA cars, (JEGS/CRA & ARCA/CRA Super Series) will be sporting identical black paint schemes and carrying the familiar #42, with sponsorship decals on each Ford Fusion from; Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers, as well as AutoParts2020.com, XLT Engineering, NorthsideTowing.net, Rain Eater Wiper Blades, JEGS.com, Nalett Trucking, Howe Racing Enterprises, The Air Lift Company, Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, Memphis Wood Fire Grills, Staubli Products, QuicShine99, Hyperco, Maurer’s Textiles, Superior Racing Images, and M.P.H.
