|
|
For the past couple of days, I thought up some names that might be cool for racing related web sites and checked to see if they were available. Here's some names I came up with:
opendifferential.com
lockeddifferential.com
thirdgroove.com
whiteflaglap.com
backstraightaway.com
frontstraightaway.com
stockcarminors.com
singleexhaust.com
uncappedheaders.com
quietexhaust.com
loosegoingin.com
pushgoingin.com
qualifyingtime.com
pitgates.com
cautionlaps.com
There's some pretty good useful domain names in the above list.
Especially good ones are:
schoolbusracing.com (this would be a HOT website)
fastqualifier.com
localshorttracks.com
racingminors.com
pavementracing.com
The above are all available as of the writing of this message.
Watch some of them start to get bought up now that this is posted.
If any new websites spring up with any of the above names, just remember,
you saw it here first.
Can anybody think of any other good ones that are available?

While watching TV tonight, I thought of some more domain names and looked them up. These domain names are all available...
paradelap.com
ponystockracing.com (this could promote FWD 4 cylinder racing)
finishingorder.com (a good one for posting race results)
For Big Ed, Hollywood, and all the voices of race tracks around the country, this is available:
raceannouncers.com
If you service alternators and regulators:
fullfielded.com
Here's some carb related names:
dualfourbarrel.com
vacuumsecondaries.com
throttlebore.com
throttleblade.com
Engine related names:
burnedpiston.com
fullracecam.com (threequartercam.com is already taken)
And one I can't believe nobody has taken yet:
portedandpolished.com

A lot of people think all the good web site names have already been thought of and taken. Well, here's a few more that are still available...
This one is for Paul:
infieldgrass.com
How about one for Keith:
pacecardrivers.com
This could be a popular one for at least a few drivers from every track in the country:
whiningandcrying.com (can't believe that one has never been taken)
Check these out:
molyrings.com
headercollectors.com
crossoverheaders.com
180degreeheaders.com
flattappet.com
flattappetcam.com
deepoilpans.com
spunrodbearing.com
regroundcams.com (how come this isn't taken yet?)

corneringscience.com
fadedbrakes.com
engineeredchassis.com
chassistricks.com
racecartricks.com
racetrackscience.com
highspeedgrip.com
corneringgrip.com
racingphysics.com
These are for the lettering people:
racingvinyl.com
racingnumbers.com
200mphgraphics.com
highspeedvinyl.com
graphicsatspeed.com
ontrackgraphics.com
frontstretchgraphics.com
visibleatspeed.com
And for the misfortunate who visit the engine shops:
blowedmotors.com
blowedupmotors.com
blownupmotors.com

The list keeps growing...
For the boring races:
singlefileracing.com
followtheleaderracing.com
Other racing related names:
racingatnight.com
racingcurfews.com
And a biggie that is still available:
figureeightracing.com !!!
(why is that one and schoolbusracing.com not taken yet???)
How about a site where fans could submit their stories on their favorite drivers of yesterday and today:
racedrivermemories.com
How about a site where famous race cars that have been destroyed could be highlighted:
racecarheaven.com
racecarmemories.com
And this could very well have it's place on the internet:
racetrackheaven.com

If you work on starters:
racingstarters.com
crankonit.com
If you're a welder:
trackwelding.com
racewelding.com
racecarwelding.com
If you have a tire shop:
tiremounters.com (seems like this would be a good one)
How about a site that specializes in helping out the various travelling series:
travellingshows.com
racetrackbookings.com
Travelling can be spelled with one or two l's. Travelingshows.com is already used, but it's just a site that makes money advertising LasVegas shows. There is no contact info on the site. It is one of those sites that doesn't look very legitimate.
Here's one for Doug and all the flagmen around the country:
racingflagmen.com
This one could be devoted to oval tracks:
racingovals.com
And a few more for Ed and his cohorts:
racingvoices.com
racevoices.com
voicesofracing.com
These are all websites that DO NOT exist because nobody has ever registered the domain names and started the websites.

When I started doing this searching for available domain names, I came across one that I couldn't believe had never been taken. I couldn't resist and registered the name myself:
totaledout.com
I'm going to use it and create a new website that is all about wrecked cars, what you can do with them and what you can't do with them. Of course, part of the site will focus on taking the buyout from the insurance company and turning your wrecked car into a low-cost Pure Stock or Pony Stock race car.
Check out these other names that are available:
Ok, racingfords.com is already taken, but can you believe these are still available:
racingchevies.com
racingbowties.com
racingmopars.com
And for those who haven't been around the American stock car racing scene very long and who just don't seem to understand:
racingtoyotas.com
Unfortunately, that would probably be a very popular site!

Actually, they are a little slow right now. But I'm having fun taking an extra long morning coffee break and checking on a bunch of useful domain names.
I've got to get a transmission finished up today. And then I've got to figure out how to drag a Neon in that won't start. While the Neon is in the shop, it will get many measurements taken and documented in preparation for the upcoming season. And I've got a second Neon outside that will also come in for a transmission rebuild. Measurements will be compared between the two to see how consistent they are. One's a 96 and the other is a 98. I'll be doing the same thing with some Shadows and Cavaliers.

bigtailpipes.com
bigsidepipes.com

But there's a lot of good ones already used and no longer available. However, I've also run into many that I've thought of that are already registered but which can be "bought" for big bucks. That's one thing a lot of speculators will do, they register good domain names with the hopes of reselling them to someone who really wants them. That could happen to some of the names I've posted on here if one of those speculators happens to run across this message thread.
Everyone one of the names I've posted here are "unregistered" and any one of them can be had for the standard registration fee which can be done for less than $15 each.
