Update...
Chris is doing better. Still in alot of pain. He has been up and moving around for his physical therapy. Like I said in my last post... we have just begun a very long journey.
Day to day it differs on how he feels about visitors. The past two days were really rough on him. He has had some post surgical complications. So, as far as visiting... please call me on my cell and I will let you know if he is having a day that he is up to it. Again that number is 517-812-1204. Please don't hesitate to call. It brightens his day to hear from a fellow racer and if he is up to it he grabs the phone to do some bench racing...
Thanks again to everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means the world to us right now.
When we will need the most support and visiting is when we get him home. With his personality, sitting around with limited mobility is gonna drive him crazy. We will need all the visitors we can get, just to give him support and show him that we are rooting for him and on his side. It is going to be a long and difficult recovery period.
Obviously racing is completely out of the question for this season. That is a hard one to swallow, but we will try to be there to cheer on all of our fellow racers.
Again, thanks for keeping us in your thoughts. I have been relaying all of your messages to him.
More as I know anything...

Well Chris I have been trying to contact you at your room for a couple of days. We would like you to know you have been in our thoughts constantly since we visisted you on Tuesday. You have been a part of our Leslie Gang for some time now and we are all worried about you and wishing you a speedy recovery, even though we know that isn`t going to be quite so speedy. We all know how much you love to race and snowmobile I guess has to come into place too with all of you guys. But God only knows we all know they can be more dangerous than we want to admit. So may God be with you in your recovery and with Lynn too, as we know this is hard on her too to have to see you in such a bad perdicament. We will be up to see you soon. We know you were in a lot of pain when we seen you last and are going to be respectful of your discomfort and give you some time. Love you kid you`re like one of our own, Mom and Dad Ryan and the rest of the Ryan Clan _________________ RACING PEOPLE ARE THE BEST. |

Hey everyone!
Chris is home and doing pretty well. He is getting up and moving around a bit with a walker. It is tough considering he can't put any weight on the right leg for about 6 more weeks.
The doctor took out the staples last week. 33 staples and the incision is 12 inches long if not a bit longer.
Some of you have stopped by the house to say hello and we really appreciate that. Not being able to get around and do things is about driving him crazy. If we do go out anywhere, he is wheelchair bound.
Special thanks to Bryon Kibbey (Kibbey & Sons Construction) for making entrance into the house easliy accessible for us. You're the best Bryon!
Anyway... that is the latest.

It's good to hear Chris is doing good. Here is an Idea to keep him busy, When I had surgery about 3 years ago and couldnt do much but sit, I bought a few model cars and assembled them. Its a good way to kill some time. Take care and if ya need anything let me know.

Hello all!
Well two months later and Chris will be going back to work Woo Hoo!! He is up and about, walking with a cane and even driving...
Of course the ONLY thing he will be driving for awhile is his truck. Racing is out of the question for this year. But of course, we will be there to cheer everyone else on!
See ya at the track!

Chris and Lynn,
Glad to hear this news. Doubtless it will hard for Chris not to wheel his super this year, but it will be good to see him at the track.
