my first car was blue 94 Pontiac grand am se. it was so sweet because it had a great suspension. i know beacause i was driving and my dad told me to slow down beacause the rail road tracks by eden road were really rough. of i didn't listen to him and went over them at 55mph and sent my car airbourn a little. i really surprise i didn't have chase down my tires that day or worse. my firends where in the car so the nickname my car the duke because of dukes of hazard. boy do i miss that car.

my first car was a 69 buick lesabre! darn thing was a boat, it fit aloy of friends though. that was back in 1991.

My first car was a 1966 Mustang Convertible. It was a rust bucket but it ran good. Wish I had it now, would be worth a bit more than I paid for it. That was back in 1971.

My first car was a '77 Plymouth Volare Station wagon. It was a beast and I beat the hell outa that poor lil 318. i didnt like the small rims and tires that came on it and a friend of mine showed me a lil secret about that car. the bolt pattern on the wheels for that car matched the pattern of the first small Ford Rangers of the mid to late '80's. So I was able to have oversized tires and rims witch made it look pretty cool. the back seats layed down so the back of the car was one big bed! I put alot of miles on that bed... I mean car...oops. Im pretty sure it ended its life in the demo derbies at the Ingham Co. Fairgrounds.

I still own my first car. It is a 79 caprice classic. I ran it till it died and ran it some more. I kept it around because I knew I was haveing a son. In the back of my mind I always thought it would be cool to restore with my son but that isn't going to happen but we are breathing new life into her....
We cut the roof off in feb. and it now has a roll cage just waiting to be finished. BTW cool thread it is neat hearing about others first car.

my first car was a 69 chevelle convertible. had that car for many years and then sold it to my dad for tuition money. Now I have a 69 chevelle hardtop street stock that I plan on racing in the 07 race season. Life comes at you full circle, you just have to wait a little!!

It was a 1964 Olds F 85 with a 330 motor in it. I ran the h**l out of it, sold it to my friend who then managed to roll it over on his way to my brother's funeral, then took it back from him and continued to beat on it in the field at my house for another year or so. Sold it to a street rodder who took the motor from it, gave it a freshening up and put it into his Model T, and drove it for years afterwards.

That car was replaced with a 1967 Delmont 88, by far my most favorite car of all, save for my 69 'Mach 1, (390 Super Cobra Jet). The "Screamin' Demon" as I called it, took me through my senior year in high school, almost all the way through college and just continued to give and give and give. 425 with a single barrel, I had the rear of it jacked up so far that the rear view mirror saw nothing but sky. I could smoke the rear tires with it for as long as I seemed to want to. Drove it through the East Lansing streets in the '78 flood, pulled a manure spreader through Campus with it, just falt out had a great time with and in that car.

I wish I had another one.

The first car I drove was a 1980 2 door chevette (it was my parent's beater car for us three brothers). It had no floorboard under the pedals, so the only thing between me and the open road was the carpeting which would get absolutely drenched whenever I drove in rainy weather. Both front strut towers had rotted out, so the struts just flopped around when driving and you could hear them thumping around in the wheel wells. This also made the thing handle like a boat in choppy waters. Man, that thing was an adventure every time it hit the road..............good times.

The first car I owned was a 1983 pontiac J200 (precursor the the sunbird, and along the same lines as a cavalier). This car also had rotten floorboards (by this time people were calling me fred flinstone), and it leaked every time it rained. It's core support was almost completely gone, the radiator just kind of hung there, and it was white (which showed all the rust) and had a red decklid. It always reminded me of one of those Koi (red and white carp) that people keep in their garden ponds.........good times.

My first car was a '55 Chevy 2 door sedan, 265 V8 with a 3 speed manual with overdrive. I bought it my junior year in high school. By my senior year when I blew the motor for the 3rd time (yes, I beat the livin' hell outta it, and we were patchin' em back together with used parts, made the 3rd one outta parts from the first 2!) I had a full time job after school so I bought a brand new '67 Chevy II, I ordered it with 2 options, a 283 V8 and a radio! The '55 sat for 4 years til I got out of the Army (damn draft board). I needed a car for another stock car, so I used it for a race car. Man, I wish I hadn't done that with it, '55's are my favorite car, and the body wasn't too far gone, it wouldn't have taken too much to put it in good shape again.

Hello, my first street car was a 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 2 door hardtop. I did not keep it long, probably about 6 months. I was an idiot of a driver then and thought that only 2 possible throttle positions existed, up when stopped and on the floor whenever possible. I went through 5 or six used engines in this first car. This disrespect for my cars continued for about a year or two. My first two years of driving saw all of the following and probably one or two I have forgotten: 64 Olds, 57 Cadillac (hit a fire hydrant while drag racing 3 weeks after getting this car), 62 Chevy convertible (caught fire and burnt in front of the Lansing Drive in theatre), 62 Chevrolet Station Wagon (hit three trees near Leslie), 57 Chevy 210 Sedan, 60 Cadillac, 59 Chrysler Imperial, 63 Chevy II, 62 Chevy pickup. These do not include race cars or parts cars.

well to start with some of you might not beleave me but this ture. my frist car was a 1953 ford then 51ford and then i had a pair of 1941 fords. now for the best part my buddy and i were on our way to fl. and didn't have anything to do so we thought we would try and count the cars i've had are you ready for the count and i'm telling you the truth we quit after 223 cars. ask jason he can tell you about some of them. right now i wish i had some of them back i could sell a few and have some good money . thank you ron

My first car was a 1964 Corvair Monza Convertible. My Dad found it in his buddy's garage in 1972. It had been sitting there since 1968 with a blown rear end and the motor was out of it. The kids had played trampoline on the top and the cats had moved inside.

He got it for free so long as He got it running and out of there. Bought a old Corvair Pick-up for the rear-end (higher gear ratio too). Put the rear end in only to find that when trying to push start the car the motor was siezed up as the kids poured water down the carbs.

Put in the tired and smoky 90 hp motor, new top and tires along with some cleaning and it was given to me for my 16th birthday.

It really wasn't much of a gimme as the maroon paint was pink and the car looked like a crop duster going down the street. After a weekend of rubbing and buffing by my friends and myself we got it looking really nice.

Rebuilt the 110 hp motor, put in a bigger gear, milled the heads and put on dual exhaust with some Thrush mufflers and that baby was tough. Car had a 4 speed and I just loved to mash the gas and shift the gears.

Drag raced it at Motor city and took home some trophys with it. Sadly, I sold the car in my Senior year (stupid) and bought a 66 Mustang Conv. with 120,000 on it for $100.00. Jacked it up, put some big tires on it and promptly beat the snot out of it.

Had a 67 Camaro SS/RS Convertible that I bought for $375.00 in 1975. Traded it for a paint job on my 70 Cadillac. (I cry when I watch Barret-Jackson).

The Corvair found it's way back home in 1976 with a 140 hp corsa motor, Crager wheels, big tires and flared fenders. Unfortunately, it was lost to a wreck in 1977 that nearly cost my friend, the driver of the other car, and myself our lifes.

I don't drive crazy anymore and now drive a 2003 Dodge 2500 4 x 4 long bed 4 door.
