We heard last night about Stan and could not believe it. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. God works in a very hard way to some of us and to know the reason is never one that we will understand. But we have learned that there will never be any reason that is acceptable, so you just have to be glad for all the time you have had with him. Rely on your family and friends because they are the ones who will help you through this terrible time. May God be with you all. Your friends forever. | Hello all. My name is Alison and I work at WLNS Channel 6 news. I am very sorry to hear about Stan Perry. From everyone we've talked to it sounds like he was a wonderful person and driver. We are doing a story about him and the incident for our 6 o clock newscast. We wondered if anyone has video of any form of the accident. It can be on your cell phone. We are looking for any visuals. Also, we would like any pictures you all may have of Stan. We are trying to show who this man was. His family is back home so we can't get anything from them. If there is anyone in our area that knew Stan and could give us any more information please do call the station at 517-372-1300. You can also email me at ahimelhoch@wlns.com. Thank you very much. Your friend is in the thoughts and prayers of all of us here at Channel 6. |

To The Perry Family,
Our deepest sympathies go out to you. Please know that The Godfather will live on in the hearts of everyone that loved him. May all the precious memories you all have help you in your time of sorrow. Mom Ryan is so right...we might not understand nor will ever understand but there is one who does and he will guide you. May God be with you all for He has said, "I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support." Hebrews 13:5

With the deepest of sympathies and prayers,
Though words at this time cannot fill the void, please know that racing has lost a wonderful person. When new to the short track racing community, I came to know Stan through causal aquaintance at first, then as time went on, better and better as we had a chance to talk. Always with a welcoming smile and a sense that when we spoke, Stan truly cared about the words we shared, and gave encouragement and a thumbs up.
It soon came to where I made it a point to see and speak with him every night at the track, be it a short talk, or a few minutes about the racing world, or maybe even just the weather.
I truly am thankful that we were able to spend some time together last night at my trailer, as he came over and with a smile and a handshake, said he was glad to see me, as I was him. Those ten minutes or so that we spoke last night will always be remembered by me, as I truly felt he was more than just a racer, but a true gentleman who cared about both the fans and fellow racers.
He will truly be missed by many, and especially so by this racing family, and the entire Spartan Speedway racing family.
Godspeed Stan Perry, and may your place of rest be a comfort to your family as they hold treasured memories of a true ambassador for this sport, and a truly good man.
I will miss him, as will many.
