I have been to most of the big money SLM shows the last 5 or 6 years. Every one of them has had a packed house, exception of Berlin and Toledo (they hold a lot more fans then most tracks and they had very big crowds). These shows usually cost $25 to get into. Lets say average ticket is $20 (that takes into effect seniors and children) and they get 4000 paid tickets that is $80,000 alone from the front gate. The races are getting 60+ cars and most of them have an entry fee on average of $75. Then they have a practice day, usually the day before the race. That brings in $20 - $25 per person into the pits. Pit passes the day of the race are usually $30.

So 4000 x $20 = $80,000
60 cars with 4 people per car on average at $30 is 240 x $30 = $7,200
60 cars with entry fee of average of $75 is 60 x $75 = $4,500
Practice usually gets about 45 - 50 cars w/4 people per car so $3,600

So for a race that gets 60 cars and 4000 people in the stands the money coming in from just those people is about $95,300. Now add in concession money, tire and fuel money and sponsor money for the event.

I would put the total payout for the Late Model Jones at about $90,000. They had 62 cars there. Early entry was $100, late was $125, this included one pit pass for race day. Pit passes on practice day were $25 and $30 on race day. Ticket prices were $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, website says $5 for children 6 -12 (I thought it was $10 on the sign).

I think it would be hard for Spartan to pull off a big show for SLM because I've been told it only holds about 2500 people but Springport could as it holds about 5000 on the main grandstand side and about 1200 in the pits. Springport is a track that I think would draw cars from both sides of the state plus Indiana, Ohio and possibly Canada.
