Jim and the entire Spartan crew, racers, and fans. Thank you for helping me with the fundraiser for St. Jude's. I wasn't able to sell to many tickets but several people just gave me money and didn't take the ticket.
But, I have decided to start traveling around and checking out other racetracks at this point. I was pretty disappointed in the response I got back from my feedback from last Friday night and have decided that tonight was my last night as a regular at Spartan. I will probably be there for some of the Sunday events and the Harvest, but as a regular customer to Spartan I explained my frustration and most of the response I got back was negative, and that didn't make me feel welcome at the track no longer. I am sure most of you don't know me and don't really care. But I have always thought of Spartan as my home but when I feel that I wasn't treated with respect then I have to make a change.
As I left tonight I had tears in my eyes, and such a feeling of sadness!!!
I wish you all the best of luck and I hope you have continued success.
Sincerely,
Denise Thomas |

Good luck with your travels Denise! I know if you are looking for other tracks to go to, you should check out the dirt tracks! I-96 races on Fridays and Crystal on Saturday, and they always have a good number of cars. I am sorry that you won't be a regular at Spartan anymore, but I do understand why you feel you must make a change. When you are at Spartan make sure you come and say "Hi!". While you are traveling keep an eye on what makes other fans and drivers returning to that particular track. We welcome your comments as to how we can improve and in what areas. _________________ Don't Sing It, Just Bring It!

Denise,
"As I left tonight I had tears in my eyes, and such a feeling of sadness!!!"
Somehow, I think that is telling you that Spartan is always going to be your home track, a few trips elsewhere isn't going to hurt, I second Mrs T2's comments here, and would just say,
don't be gone long.
have a good day,

Denise, I am sorry to hear that you will not be attending Spartan too. Trust me I have been to a number of tracks, especially in the last two years following my son Tim in the sprint cars, and I can personally tell you there is no track that can compare with Spartan for the family atmosphere if that is what you are looking for. We have been going to Spartan since the late 6o`s and have been to so many tracks and we would always be glad when we were able to return to Spartan. I know there are a few that are having problems with that but believe me we will always call Spartan our home track. I only wish we could go back to the way it used to be and the stands were packed and the car counts were much higher but things are not ever going to be the same anywhere, not like they used to be. Nothing is, our economy is not allowing us to do what we used to be able too. I`m sure a lot will agree with me there. But venture if you must, but return if you can, Spartan does need faithful fans, and it sounds like you have been one. From one racing fan to another. "See Ya" as Gary Lindaugh would say.
