|
|
Dan Griener at Evergreen Autopark asked me to help him put on a FWD show at his place on Oct 7th.
So.. in an effort to do that.. I'm taking the CRC cars down to EGAP and he's putting on a FWD only show.
I'd like to invite everyone who has a FWD car to come and give it a whirl.. I know that Laci and Alex Donnert are planning on coming, Gerry Persail and John Cusp is talking about it.. .. we'd sure like to see some other folks with cars.
As an added invitation.. I'd like to open up my cars to anyone interested in giving it a try... so if your racer and always wanted to try the dirt... or ever wanted to run a pony.. or both.. well now here's your chance.
Cost is only $20.. bring your helmet.
Pits open at 10am.. racing starts at 1pm.
I have squared everything up with the promotor of the race track and we have a great deal going on.
This weekend is going to be exclusively our event at the track.. another local race track is running a big RWD V-8 Enduro Event.. so its going to be our FWD cars only, so we can put together as many races as we want over the 3 to 4 hours of light we will have between 1pm and 5pm.
This is very rare for a promoter to do this, everyone should get LOTS and LOTS of seat time..
I have 6 or 7 fire suits of varying sizes.. from a medium size for women and smaller guys all the way up to 3x and 4x stuff.. Big Enough for Hondo Carpenter (think 6'7 and 400+)
I also have 6 SA2000+ helmets..
I'm asking folks to bring their own helmet and gear IF THEY HAVE IT so it makes the transition from driver to driver easier.. but if you don't have a firesuit or helmet (even a motorcycle helmet will work) we can make it work.. don't let that be the barrier.
Please, if you plan on coming, let me know.. I have 5 people from MSTRC coming so far.. I want to make sure I have a good count so I'm ready.
Its on M-99 just south of Hillsdale.. link to a google map is here : http://evergreenautopark.net/index.php?opt...7&Itemid=29
It is this Sunday.. and its suppose to be a FWD race, but you guys can run with us.

Directions :
If your coming from along the I-94 corridor or North of I-94.. the best way to the track is to get to I-94 and take it towards Jackson. Take US-127 South to Camden Road (about 27 miles). Take Camden Road West to M-99 (about 8 miles). Take M-99 South to Miller Road (1 mile). Take Miller Road West to the Track Entrance (2/5th mile).
If your coming from near the State Line, or IN or OH.. get to the I-80 Turnpike, head towards Montpelier, OH. Take Exit 13 off I-80 (that's the US-20 Exit), Go North on US-20/OH-15 6 miles which will take you through Pioneer and across OH/MI state line, road name changes to M-99, continue North 3 miles to Miller Road, go West 1/4 mile to entrance of track. |
