This is reposted from the butler web sight I have to say that is flat flying
"Butler Speedway would like to congratulate Butler Speedway Dirt Late Model star Terry Sroufe has he set a new world record this past weekend at M-40 Speedway with his topless, boarded dirt Late Model. The car was nothing more spectacular than others there, but his driving it was just plain awesome. In hot laps he had jaws dropping as he was clocked at 10.996. When the actual qualifying happened, Mr. Sroufe had the car sideways & haulin' the mail!!! His 1st lap was 10.993 (122.805 mph) & the 2nd lap was even better at 10.485 (128.755 mph). Furthermore, his time took over as the fastest lap ever turned by a non-open wheeled car on a 3/8 mile oval. Randy Sweet held the old record at Kalamazoo Speedway. "
I think the M- 40 web page said he finished 4th after a full invert. |
