The Jackson Motor Speedway Reunion will be on Saturday, October 28th at the Elks Lodge in Jackson. The track was built in 1948 and ran through 1973. Many of the Lansing/Spartan drivers raced at Jackson. If you are a fan of the old supermodifieds, this is a can't miss event. This year is the 15th year for this event. Also this year we are honoring Ralph Donaldson who was the winningest driver at the track. There will be restored race cars and over 5000 photos on display. If you enjoyed what you saw at Spartan's 50th Aniversary Show, then you'll love the Jackson reunion. The cost is only $15. If anyone would like a reservation form, please email me at martyb@acd.net and I'll email you a form. Thanks Marty Blume |

Marty,
Was planning on going again this year, but Spartan's banquet is the same day. Most likley Mike will go with my dad.
I'm sure Gary and Donna were not aware of the Jackson reunion date or they would have scheduled around that date.

Dan,
I kind of figured you'd be unable to attend due to the scheduling conflict. I was hoping that maybe Mike could bring your dad. It was a blast walking the track last year with him explaining how he set up a car and how he drove it around that great old track. Hope to see you at our reunion next year. Just remind everyone that the reunion is always the last Saturday of October (It's easier for us older people to remember that way). Before I forget, your dad did win the fast car dash on opening nite at Lansing/Spartan Speedway in 1956.
Thanks Marty Blume |

We have received reservations for the reunion from Chris White, Dave Sprang, Mel Gillette, Don Friend, Art Newman,Les Heikila, Joe Marsh,Bob and Bill Tyler, Rollie Beale, Johnny Logan, and Jack Goodwin. We are receiving forms dailey and I'll try to update the list of drivers on Monday or Tuesday. For those of you who are not going to the Spartan Banquet, this is a great night to meet many of the driver of the past and to relive the memories of the legendary Jackson Motor Speedway. There's still time to get your reservations as we would like to have them by October 24th. Again, if you would like a reservation form, just e-mail me at martyb@acd.net and I'll send you one to your e-mail address.
Thanks marty Blume |
