Sarah Rose has been added to Team CRC for the balance of the 2007 race season.
Sarah (known far and wide as "Kennedy's Mom") will be participating in the Pony Stock Division at Springport Motor Speedway for the balance of the year.
Sarah is taking advantage of the end of the season special... we hope this will launch her into a 2008 campaign.
At practice on Thursday Night we started Sarah (with zero race car experience) at Ground Zero.. running through all her safety equipment, going through the car, explaining how all the switches, dials, safety equipment and so forth worked.. we then practiced getting in and out of the car.. putting on and securing her safety equipment and then started running some laps. We started thing off with some 30+ second laps and slowly helped her dial things in and understand how the car worked.
Over the course of six 6 lap sessions.. we brought Sarah down into the 22.8 second range.
Special thanks to Todd Metz who assisted us playing follow the leader for a practice session.. that really helped Sarah see the racing line.
Sarah will be racing on Saturday Night at Springport.. everyone who knows her story should come and join us and cheer her on ! |

Nickie.. Sarah wants to race in the worst way.. she is a true race fan.
However she has decided that she wants to wait a bit longer before pursuing her dream.
She did great in practice and I'm sure she'll make her debut some time next year.
Best of luck to her. |
