Sportsman Tires

Jim,

Could you Please let us know your thoughts on next years Sportsman tires ?

Are we going to be running the Same tire as last year, or are you planning on putting the Sportsman Class on the new tire you have chosen for the Mods?

Also will we be allowed to run the 970's as well as the American Racers at Springport, or are you Only going to run the American Racers at Both tracks?

Hi Chuck, I am glad you asked that question. Do you think there are many out there with some of last years tires? I hate to obsolete them if there are, but we will need to transition into the same tire as the Mods are on. You should get considerably more nights out of the 704 compared to last years compound. I am not sure if we will start out like that or if we will allow a couple of weeks to use up the others.

Lets think about SMS and ask for some input to compare the 704 with the 970. If they are not equal on the Sportsman, which they are not on the Mods then we have to look at options.
