Couldn't remember my password, so I am using my fathers to do this post.

We arrived at Sparrow at 6:45 this morning to get my father there for his surgery. They got him in around 9:45am and the surgery was done at noon. Everything went well, took care of all the spurs, did a bone graft, and replaced some discs in the cervical area. He is in good spirits ( partly due to the pain medication he is on, because he has been saying some random things that come out of nowhere that make no sense:>) Good news is he will only have to wear a neck brace if he chooses too or if it helps with the pain. We were originally told he would be able to come home tomorrow if all goes well, but now we may be looking at Thursday or Friday depending on if they can get the pain under control and his blood oxygen level to stabalize. He is glad to have it done and overwith, next he will be looking at the Thoracic and Lumbar regions, but with this surgery under his belt, he plans to be back on the track again this upcoming spring.

Big thanks to all of you who have kept him in your thoughts. He is truly humbled by the family he has gained out of this great group of people. Hell one of the first things on my list of things he needed me to do was to get on the MSTRC site and let everyone know he was still alive and kickin.

Again, thank you!
