I've got a 1993 Geo Prizm 1.8L DOHC 16 valve engine. The car would not be allowed in the Pony Stock class because of it being a DOHC engine, so i was wondering if it would be legal to race in the Pure Stock FWD class. I've got this car and would really like to race it, anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom - 15T |

Nope.. the FWD Pure class is 6 cylinders with minimum 104.5 inch wheel base.
The Geo doesn't have either..
and the FWD Pure is on the track at the same time as the RWD Pure's, you wouldn't want to be in that car getting hit by a 1000 # heavier full frame and bodied Monte Carlo. |

I am not sure but I think the tracks that run enduro races might allow your dohc geo car.
One of the guys that I talked to this past summer had an escort that was a dohc and he raced it in enduro's and had a blast. That might be an option if you want to race your prizm.

The Prizm would be legal at Owosso as well..
Though.. I'd recommend selling the car to some college kid for $500 and buying a car legal for Spartan/Springport. |

The Prism would be legal at Mottville Speedway also. The Mini Thunder Car class at Mottville includes any 4 cylinder front wheel drive car, as well as a V6 automatic front wheel drive. _________________ Check out my website at: |
