| i currently race at flatrock speedway in the street stock division which i think is fairly close to your sportsman rules. i would like to run springport on a limited bassis if possible, the only problem is that we are allowed to run a rack and pinnion steering and i was wondering if this would be allowed with a weight penalty? also what is the spec. intake? we are only allowed a unaltered performer intake and a 2bbl. carb. we ran the mich. cup . i would like to try and do my part to keep a great track open, however due to the high cost of fuel i can't see us making the trip every weekend, |

outlawrcer90 asked about running rack and pinion? We run stock steering gear boxes, asked about spec intakes? The spec.intake is a Edelbrock dual plane performer aluminum part # 2101,2116,2161,2181,2176.We also run a Stock unaltered Holly 4412-500 c.f.m.Removal of choke horn, choke shaft and butterfly allowed (1" thickness composite spacer may be used to mount Holly to intake). If you want to come to springport and run a couple times call us and we can talk weigth
Thanks; Techdude |

this is Steve Big Daddy Orta, I pitted next to you all weekend at Mi Cup. I would love to see you come down again to race. Chuck is a pretty fair guy as fair as I have seen. He would definently work with you if you come down a few times. hope to see you there! PS I never got to thank you for all your help you gave me that weekend. Thanks Alot! _________________ ~~~~Steve "Big Daddy" Orta~~~~

| thanks steve, we had a blast at the mi.cup and i we would like to run both our cars there as much as our travel budget will let us. our pure stock fits your rules and would prob. be there on a bi-weekly bassis ( the blue #2 slug) you are more than welcome for the assistance @ the mi. cup, sometimes its more fun to work on them than it is to race them lol |

outlawrcer90,
Flat Rock's Exhaust rules are very restrictive,,2 inch pipes max, and Stock cast Iron exhaust manifoldsonly, NO Headers allowed.
sprinport allows bigger exh. pipes and headers.
when you run Sprinport, which exhaust system will you be using?
also does your car have Ford engine ?

Chuck, I see you included a manifold for the big-block Chevy. Can you also include the 2186 and 2191 manifolds for the 383-400 and 413-426-440 big-block Mopar engines?

arnold,
yes i do run a ford. i would most likly be running my headers, the thing to remember is that the street stocks at flatrock are only allowed a stock head and with a performer and a 2bbl headers may not help that much. the whole reason i want to even run springport is to do my part to help a GREAT track stay open, my crew and i had a great time at the mich. cup and the people we meet there were very friendly hope to get a few races there without upsetting the regulars..... ian |
