Driver Information Page

We are going to handle the drivers page a little different this year in order to keep it updated. The way we were going about it was very time consuming and ultimately not effective.

When you register your name will go onto the page automatically. The key is to have a web site and then we will link right to that site. You then can update your information as often as you want and the information will be accurate.

If you do not have a site someone can put one together for you very reasonably, you will only need to make a phone call or email.

There are several race people that can do that for you and now I am inviting them to throw their hat in the ring. Post whatever you want to solicit the work to prepare drivers personal sites for them.

Your name will be posted when you register regardless, if you don't want a web page don't worry, we will still post your name. We just can't keep up with everyones changes.

Sounds fair. At least this way all the info will always be up to date, and if not it's our own darn fault. Cool, I like it. Let the ads begin.

Before you go out and do an outside website.. please wait 10 to 14 days.

Jim Barker and I are working on something which I think is going to be the best of both worlds.

It will be mid-January before its ready.. but I think you'll be blown away.

Patrick, What is the time line? Once we get close to the season drivers will not have the time to be greating web sites.

Steve, We ran into a problem with access levels where if you got authorized to create and edit a page.. then you had the ability to edit other people's pages as well.

We didn't think that was such a good idea.

So we are working through the code to find out how its hooked and triggered to see if we can prevent that from happening.
