All,
We have looked for a family for the Basement Dawgs Halloween, Adopt a Family for Christmas Halloween Party and we have indeed found one.
This Halloween Party is the one on the 21st that I have already posted about here, on Bellevue Rd, sponsored by the Basement Dawgs, with food, fun, prizes for costumes, hayrides, live music, karaoke, bonfire, etc.
All are invited, from young to old, and we will have party favors for young and old.
Part of the deal with this party is that we wish to take donations from those who attend, with all of the proceeds going to the
Adopt a Family for Christmas fund that we have established.
I wish to post here an e-mail that I received that has caused us to make this the family that we are going to adopt for Christmas, with hopes to make it as Merry as we can. Any donations will help, and any money received at the party or at any time will go directly to assisting this family, with no overhead, costs, etc. Straight to them for Christmas.
Here is the e-mail.
It has taken me a little while to get up the courage to do this, as I am terrible at asking for help. Also, had to figure out a way to get in touch with you.
I have two little girls who I would love to be able to provide a Christmas for, but I don't think it is going to happen this year. Kennedy will be 2 on November 16th, Mackenzie will be 3 on November 5th.
I do currently work, but am quickly realizing that I may not be able to much longer. Kennedy is considered terminally ill and we are currently sitting at U of M Childrens Hospital waiting for a new treatment plan. (I know that you have seen her at Spartan, she is the little girl who uses oxygen) It took me a month and a half to find a daycare center willing to take her and on her 3rd day there, I had to pick her up and take her to the hospital because they couldn't get her heart rate out of the 250's and keep her breathing. Once we are home from this stay, I am unsure if they will want to take her back.
With the job that I do have, I am making $7.00 an hour at the Hampton Inn in Okemos. I live with my father, who recently lost his job that he has had for 25 years. Money is extremely tight.
I'm not worried about my dad and I getting anything for Christmas, but the girls really deserve something special. It has been a very tough time for Mackenzie as mommy is always gone at the hospital with sister (she has had 14 hospital admissions) My children are my inspiration and my reason for being. I live to see them smile and be happy.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my family. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
This is the family folks, anyone wishing any further information can contact me via pm, or at 810-397-1242, or my daughter at 517-331-3622.
Again, all are invited, it will be fun, this family is a part of the Spartan Family and I am hoping we will see some racers show up for a nights' worth of great Halloween fun, October 21, at 5872 Bellevue Rd. in Onondaga, (grey house on the hill on the curve going towards Springport Motor Speedway)
have a good day,
