The 17th annual Jackson Motor Speedway Reunion Party will be on Saturday, October 25, 2008. The track ran from 1948 through 1973. Many of the the great drivers from the past raced at both Jackson and Spartan (Lansing). Vintage race cars will be on display from 12 noon until?? (last year we had 11 on a rainy day). The doors open at 4 with the cash bar opening at 5 and dinner starting at 6. There will be over 5000 photos on display as well as other memoribilia. The MC for the night will be Hall of Famer Gary Lindahl. With the Spartan Banquet being a week later, this will be a chance for the Spartan fans and drivers, past and present a chance to come enjoy the history of this great track. If you are not on the mailing list and would like to come, please email me at martyb@acd.net and I will send you more info. The cost is still only $15 which includes the meal (try getting into a race and have a meal for $15)
Thanks Marty Blume |

| Jackson and Spartan (Lansing) had the same owners from 1958 through 1964 and again for 1970 until it closed in 1973. I have noticed while scanninng old timing sheets that Ken Buchner raced at Jackson as far back as 1965, still in the good old #13. I believe that Ron Parrish also has turned a few laps at Jackson. Bill Lackey pretty much grew up at the the track. Who was your favorite driver way back the Bill? Just a few tid bits. There is still time to get your tickets. Again if you are not on the mailing list or lost your flyer, email me at martyb@acd.net and I will send the info to you. Hope to see you there. Thanks Marty Blume |
