Dear racing Friends and Family,

My wife(Carrie Patrick) is participating in her first ever 3Day Breast Cancer walk November 6-8 in Dallas Texas, and she needs your help! She will be walking 20 miles per day and sleeping in tents with 4,000 other walkers. She must raise $2200 to participate.

All donations go directly to the research and treatment for breast cancer patients. Current statistics are showing that 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer of some form. That is huge!

If you could please help support her in this amazing journey to help fight this awful disease we would greatly appreciate your generosity. Donations can be made online at www.the3day.org/goto/carriepatrick or by phone at 1-800-996-3DAY.

Thank you kindly,

Bubber & Carrie Patrick

P.S. All donations must be submitted by October 1st and they are tax deductible!

Just a up date. We've sort of went a little dry and are only at around 1450.00. So if you haven't donated yet (Lackey, Leisure,) please help my wife out for this very important cause. She has been working out extremely hard every day. To everybody that has helped, thank you so much. If you have a loved one that you have lost to breast cancer and are willing to donate Carrie would love to know the name so she can display the name on the lanyard that she will be wearing every day.

Thanks,

Bubber Patrick,

WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS!!!!!!!!!

To you all that was able to donate to Carrie's 3-day breast cancer walk.

We flew down for the walk on November 5th.

November 7th her journey began from South fork Ranch in Dallas, TX

Her journey ended at SMU University on November 9th with the completion of 60 miles of walking, after sleeping in pink two person tents with only a sleeping bag to keep her warm.(45-50 degrees at night) They showered in semi trailers that had little compartments for shower stalls with a hose for showering, that was connected to the water tanks.

I was able to witness the biggest blister ever. I swear it was the size of a small apple on the back of her heal. It had to be popped and drained at every med station along the way. But I was very proud of her for gutting it out and finishing the walk. Even though she could barely stand on her feet, she made it to the finish line.
I know it was frustrating for her, even with all the precaution she had taken to get two pair of proper walking shoes, socks and with all her conditioning. That was her only problem she didn't seem to be tired from the walking just pain on the feet. The doctor just said that her feet where sweating to much(NASTY) and causing to much friction.

The walk had 3,200 people walk in it and conclude with a very emotional closing ceremony. They raised 7.8 MILLION DOLLARS just from this walk alone and by 2010 Susan Komen foundation will have donated 1 billion dollars.

So thanks everybody for your help to make Carrie's walk memorable.

WAY TO GO CARRIE Smile

There is no way I could have done that...I am proud of you for sticking it out even when your foot was blistered up. I hope you are doing well now though. I had no idea you were going to walk so far.

Carrie, thank you for taking the time to help a very good cause.
