I am rebuilding a ford 302 engine (out of a 1998 mercury mountaineer). This is not for racing purposes, just a stock rebuild. I am a GM guy, so I'm a little out of my territory here and would be grateful for any information anyone could provide. If you know of a good website, that would be really good. Basically what I'm looking for are the stock engine specs (torque specs, bolt tightening sequence, etc.)

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks, everyone. That was good (and fast) feedback.

Forgive me for being a little slow, Dennis. I finally put two and two together about you being the owner of Oneil's repair. You are less than a mile from my house. I will stop by sometime if I can't get the info off the web.

Thanks again,
Brian

p.s. Once I get this vehicle repaired it will be for sale. I got it for next to nothing, so I can sell it way below blue book value and still make enough to buy a quart of oil for the race car
