Oldest active driver

Of all the currently active drivers at Spartan Speedway, who competed there first?

The subject line is a little misleading. I'm not looking for the oldest driver in terms of age, but who has the earliest date of competing in an actual event.

Would it be Ron Parish? And if so, since when?

Just curious and it might be of interest to others as well.

I know that both Ron and Ken were racing there in 1982, but not sure how long before that.

Is Ken Buchner racing this year? I know he started at Jackson about 1965. Ron started in the mid 60's also. Last time I talked to Gary Fedewa, he said he may run a race or two in the sprint car this year. If he does, then he would be the oldest active driver as he started in the late fifties at Lansing Speedway which is now Spartan Speedway. Marty Blume

Just might be Bill Butler, he is older than he looks. He sure doesn't look as old as Parish or Lackey. LOL

Ken retired at the end of 2010. Heard Bob Seelman might run a couple of Sprint Car races, if that happens there is the person who you are looking for.

Bob won't be running any races this year.. he says he's officially hung it up for driving and will stick to just owning the car... I'd have to say Parrish has been around there the most.
