For all who have raced with, shared time with, and have come to know John Mamula:

Please join me and many others in bidding John a Bittersweet Farewell as he gets ready to return home to California.

I have reserved a room at The City Limits, in Mason, Michigan from 2:00 p.m. until 5: p.m. on Sunday, July 31st, just a few days before he has to leave to rejoin his wife and children. Please try to make it out to say goodbye, and to share some good times and memories with John.

Please bring a picture of you and your car so we can put it in a memory book for John, so he will always remember that Michigan Modified Drivers are the best there is, and us mod squad members will always be a part of his life.

Plan on having dinner, or just share a drink and a good time with us all. If you have any video of him, bring it along also as I have arranged for a DVD player and or a computer hookup to the big screen televisions in our room.

John has become a lifelong friend for me, and I am sure, for many. I know I am going to miss him.

Please, come on out and say "Farewell, Good Sir".
