This Friday will be "Old Timer's Night" at Spartan. It has been a little over 55 years since Art Bennett won the very first feature at what was then Lansing Speedway. The late Johnny Logan won the very first race which was the fast car dash on opening night. Come out and see the men who have provided us with many memories over the years!
I will be there with my photo albums and other memorabilia on display. To all of you greats as well as the little guys from the past, bring your photos and stop by my table and talk about the good old days of racing.
I am still looking for the following track champs - 1956 (if they had a champ), 1957, 1959, 1961, 1962. The support class champs for 1978, 1981, 1987, 1988, 1991, and 1992.
I am looking forward to seeing all of the Spartan family as I have not been able to get to the track because of my work schedule. See all of you Friday!!! Marty Blume
