hi i'm new on here, been wanting to build a pony stock to get into circle track racing (right now i only go in straight lines lol) but anyway that will be for next year hopefully.
i have a derby car i ran at chelsea fair, and have some questions and hoping someone to clear up for me. the rules for flag pole racing say i have to use a 1/8inch thick by 18inch wide piece of steel on the doors. i currently have 2 door bars on that are 3inch wide 1/2inch thick on the doors now. will those work? or do i have to get some steel somewhere....
then also it wasn't in those rules but i saw somewhere else that a windshield is required. that isn't so for the flag pole racing right?

Your door bars will suffice for protection. You can also run the Flag Pole event with out a windshield.
