Spartan will soon replace the spinner/spinnee policy with a new tool. A new DVR system will allow officials to take a look back at what caused a caution. When the video clearly shows which driver caused the caution only one person will need to go to the rear of the field instead of sending both involved.
We think we will have the system operational before April 27th (opening day). Good luck to everyone on opening day.
See some of you Saturday and Sunday. Gates open Saturday at 10:00 and Sunday at 12:00. |

Jim,
Just a question
Is the spinner/spinnee rule gone completely, or just in those instances when there is clear evidence on who/what caused the caution? |

| In that scenario and if no one claims responsibility both (all) parties involved will need to go to the rear. |

I was somewhat concerned that it would take too long to determine who was at fault, thus extending the caution laps, but I am happy to say I was wrong.
So far, I think the rule change is working very well. _________________ Rand Thompson

| Where was the DVR review on Sunday? I get blamed for a crash that happened on the backstretch when I was still exiting turn 2. I have heard of some mistakes in calls, but when it was that obvious I was not even in the pack of cars where the crash happened!! I think in an addition to the DVR replays there should be spotters at every corner to help make the CORRECT calls!! Its hard on just one or two people trying to see eveything, but this year there should be zero errors if the DVR is hooked up and working properly! |

| We are lacking a camera in the backstretch......hopefully that problem will be cured soon. |

| So how about adding some more people in the tower to help catch things plus have some more officals that can help make the calls when there is crashes. |
