Author Rick Sigsby will be appearing at Spartan Speedway on Friday June 29th selling his fantastic book titled "Living on the Edge,a History of Auto Racing in Michigan". The book is a look back at the rich history of Michigan auto racing from 1905 up through the present. As a special treat, Michigan sprint car and stock car legend Gary Fedewa will be on hand for autographs and great stories about his long and illustrious career.

Rick has done an outstanding job covering a much deserved topic near and dear to my heart. The best part about the book is that instead of writing his own opinions, Rick has encouraged some of Michigan's greatest legendary racers tell their story in their own words.

Some of the drivers interviewed besides Gary & Tim Fedewa were Mike Eddy, Tommy Maier(hilarious!), Johnny Benson Sr. and Jr., Ed Howe, Gordon Johncock, Butch Miller, Cy Fairchild, Jeff Bloom, the Keselowski family, Joe Ruttman, and my personal friend and hero, Joy Fair.

In addition there are also profiles on deceased drivers like Iggy Katona, Benny Parsons, Sammy Sessions and many many others not mentioned above. The book is priced at an affordable $15 which considering the entertainment factor, makes it the bargain of the year.
