Santa Rosa, Calfornia driver Jo Jo Helberg took the lead on lap 8 and went on to win his first ever 30 lap Tripps Auto Shop Collision Centers Wingless Sprint feature Friday night during “Beacon Sales Kid’s Night Night” at Spartan Speedway in Mason, Michigan. Over 70 happy kids went home with brand new bicycles.

Larry Wallace made it seven out of eight feature wins in the 35 lap Sawyers Chevy Superstore Modifieds with the bounty on Wallace raising to $200 next week to any driver who can beat him. Ron Heeney (Lipari Foods Spartan Stock A division), Brian Beckner (Boss Snow Equipment Pony Stock A division) , Brandon Moody in the Pony Stock B division and Rob Newman in the Spartan Stock B Class were other feature winners.

Next Friday, July 6, it’s the "Night of Destruction", sponsored by Sawyers Chevy Superstore and Scotts Lawn Service. Eight school buses will be in action for a 20 lap feature over the Figure 8 course. "The Disturbed One" Dane Long, Steve Utley, and Chris Taylor will be among the drivers wrestling the 30,000 pound buses around and through the intersection. A Trailer Figure 8, paying $300 to win, Flag Pole and Skid Plate races, both paying $200 to win, and a full program of Boss Snow Equipment pony stocks will round out the evening's events. Gates open at 5 pm with racing beginning at 7:30 pm.
