Chase For JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship Continues For Chad Finley At Springport
Top 5 separated by just 42 points

DeWitt, Michigan (Thursday, June 28th, 2012): After a three races in five days set for Chad Finley and the Chad Finley Racing Team, the crew and driver have had some time to recoup and refresh before another pivotal race in his quest for the 2012 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Parts Championship. For the second JEGS/CRA race in a row, the eyes of the primary sponsor will be on him.

The Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers 100 Presented by JEGS.com is on Sunday, July 1st at the fast 3/8s (0.375 mile high-banked paved oval of Springport Motor Speedway located in Springport, Michigan, just 45 minutes south of the CFR race shop in DeWitt. In addition this is the second race in a row that primary sponsor; Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers will be the title sponsor of a JEGS/CRA race.

“We’re looking forward to Springport. We’re bringing the same car we ran at Dixie and it’s a good one.” Remarked the DeWitt, Michigan driver. “Hopefully we can get back on track from our misfortunes the last few races and find victory lane again. This would be real special to us as Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers is the title sponsor and there will be a whole bunch of people there.” The 20-year-old added.

The three races in five days jaunt for CFR began on June 15th at Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan as the fifth race of the 2012 racing season for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by GM Performance Parts; The Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers 100 Presented by JEGS.com as Finley qualified third quick and in the race, was battling with eventual winner, Daniel Hemric before coming home with a solid second place effort and moves up to fourth in the season long points chase.

“We had another awesome racecar; We just got a little tight there at the end and took away any chance we had. We gave it a good shot though and gave Daniel (Hemric) a run for his money. He knew we were there.” Stated Finley after his runner-up showing.

The next two races were both ARCA/CRA Super Series events starting on June 16th at Springport and the 4th annual Rowdy 251 at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on June 18-19th. At Springport, brake issues forced Finley to drop out with a 21st place showing while at Berlin, after getting up to as high as second, an oil seal came apart resulting in heave smoke pouring from the back end of his machine. In an effort to not hurt the motor, he retired from the event and was credited with a 27th place finish.

“Berlin was hard to take; This old girl was fast right off the truck on Monday. We didn't practice much at all. We were the fastest in first practice and up on the board every time we went out." He explained. "This was a huge race for us and to be running up front like that and have such an awesome race car only to have a $0.50 piece take us out is not a good feeling." Finley added.

“I’ve got to thank all my guys here at CFR and our marketing partners as we couldn’t have done these races without any of them. Also Mike Staszak from XLT Engineering has done a ton to even get us here so hats off to him especially. On to the next one with some good luck we hope.” He ended.

Throughout the remainder of the 2012 racing season both of Finley’s CRA cars, (JEGS/CRA & ARCA/CRA Super Series) will be sporting identical black paint schemes and carrying the familiar #42, with sponsorship decals on each Ford Fusion from; Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers, as well as AutoParts2020.com, XLT Engineering, NorthsideTowing.net, Rain Eater Wiper Blades, Nalett Trucking, Howe Racing Enterprises, The Air Lift Company, Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, Memphis Wood Fire Grills, Staubli Products, QuicShine99, Hyperco, Maurer’s Textiles, Superior Racing Images, and M.P.H.
