Skid Plate Racing

How old do you have to be to compete in the skid plate race? I love the idea of drifting and want to compete. And where can the participant get a car at? Does the track supply a car or does the driver have to buy one?

I'm not the authority on the rules here but I think you have to at least have a valid Driver's License.

The track doesn't supply anything, you have to supply your own car, transport it to and from the track yourself, and make sure it meets the regulations (which can be found on the main page of this site).

Call around to junk yards or browse Craigslist.

Also, it's probably worth mentioning that skid plate racing is nothing like drifting. Not that that should stop you from wanting to do it, of course.
