I wanted to take a minute to let everyone that our leader, Poor Paul Zimmerman, has been hospitalized since early Friday with some chest and back pains. At first they thought he may have been showing signs of a heart attck, but his heart doctor doesn't seem to think that is it. When I talked to him today he was pretty tired, and of course not really enjoying his stay. He is currently at Ingham Regional. I'll give an update as soon as possible.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers

As everyone knows Pauly's health hasn't been the best lately. Because of this he hasn't been out of the house, which we all know is not his normal self. He does have an email address poorpaul@spartanspeedway.com that you can email him at, however because he's not too familiar with the whole internet thing he doesn't check his email as much as you and I. So, instead of sending him an email pick up the phone and give him a ring, (517) 676.3415. I know he'd love to hear from everyone Wink

When I was talking to him and his step-daughter Jamie yesterday, she was telling me since 1978 the phone would be ringing off the hook! They'd love it to ring more often Very Happy

I can second Cindy on this one. I have spoken with Paul a couple of times in the last few weeks, just saying hi and checking in on how he is feeling. He genuinely appreciates the calls, and says he would like to talk to more of us during this off season, especially since he is housebound for now.

if you get the chance, give him a ring, that is as therapeutic as anything that a doctor can do for him,

Paul will be leaving for Florida on the 4th to spend some time with some family members. Anyone who wishes can still email him while he's gone because his email will get forwarded to where he will be staying.

poorpaul@spartanspeedway.com will still get to him in Florida. Isn't email handy?

Pauly called last night and asked that I let everyone know that he is home from Florida. He came back on Super Bowl weekend...when we were having those -20 to -30 degree temps!!! He wanted me to let everyone know he says "Hi"! He also told me that he hasn't been feeling the best. If you have a little bit of time available, he would truly enjoy a phone call or visit from his Spartan Family. You can call him at (517) 676.3415 or stop by.
